BEACONS OF HOPE: A 6-week, online course with Duane

We orient our lives with the “deep stories” we tell ourselves about who we are and where we are going.  The purpose of this course is to explore four of the personal and collective “stories” or archetypes that can act as beacons for our future. These are, seeing ourselves and the human community as:

• Maturing
• Heroic
• Self reflective
• Bio-cosmic

We will begin each week with a conference call (however, you don’t have to be available for the call to be part of the course as the audio will be posted immediately after the call).  During the call, we will talk with one another, you can electronically “raise your hand” and get your questions answered, and we will break into small groups for short conversations. Then, during the course of each week, you will go to the online course at any time convenient for you, and there you can watch a short video, read a short article, answer a brief survey, post comments to engage with other participants on the theme of the week, and other activities.

To participate, you will need a computer with high-speed connection to the Internet and a telephone.  This course is based on four decades of research and writing and is much more in-depth than the usual “conference call seminar.”

By taking this course, you will have an opportunity to learn with an evolutionary leader, interact with a global community, explore our common future, develop fresh insights for orienting our lives.
