February 2nd, 2010. Free and global via Internet: Speaking on "Our World in Transition toward an Integrative Spirituality" in the tele-seminar series hosted by Craig Hamilton: Awakening the Impulse to Evolve: The Birth of Evolutonary Spirituality.

February 5th, 2010. Mountain View, California. Speaking at the East/West Bookstore on my two, recently published, books: Voluntary Simplicity and The Living Universe.

February 9th, 2010. The launch for my six week tele-seminar on "Beacons of Hope."  With a combination of online learning (highly visual and interactive) and telephone dialogues, we explore four "evolutionary beacons" that are drawing us toward a promising future. Participation requires a telephone and computer with high speed internet connection. More information here.

February 12-14, 2010. Menlo Park, California.  Speaking on the theme of "The Living Universe and Global Spirituality" at  Spirituality in Action: Transpersonal Psychology - Healing a World in Crisis.

April 16, 2010. Mesa, Arizona. Presentation on behalf of the Seven Rays Institute on "The Living Universe and Our World in Transition."

May 27, 2010. Vancouver, British Columbia.  An evening talk on “Responding to Our World in Transition.”

May 29, 2010. Victoria, BC.  Day-long workshop on "Visioning Promising Lives in Challenging Times"

June 23-24, 2010. Moscow, Russia. Presentation on "Collective Crisis Meets Collective Wisdom," at the International Transpersonal Psychology Conference.

Highlights from 2009

May 19, 2009, San Rafael, California. A benefit for elementary school children in India with a presentation on “The Living Universe.”  We raised $1,400 for school books and initial funds for eco-san composting toilet and the project is growing rapidly.  See this inspiring video: Eco-San.

June 24, 2009, Malibu, California. Opening Keynote: "Science, Wisdom, and the Future," June 24-28, southern CA. An international conference; proceedings will be published as a book. I spoke about "the living universe and the world in transition." I also gave another presentation on the theme of “living simply and sustainably.”

July 20, 2009, Phoenix, Arizona. Presentation and paper on "The Living Universe” at Metanexus Institute conference on “Cosmos, Nature, Culture: A Transdisciplinary Conference."  Scholars from around the world explore the story of the whole person in a whole cosmos.  My paper can be found at: http://www.metanexus.net/conference2009/papersdefault.aspx.

September 8, 2009, San Francisco. A presentation and facilitated conversation at the Pachamama Alliance on "exploring four archetypes of a sustainable and promising future." 

September 30, 2009, Berkeley, California. A talk and dialogue on "Conscious Aging in a Changing World" for the organization "Age Song."

October 9, 2009, Miami, Florida.  International Women's Forum World Leadership Conference, Miami, 2009. Duane was one of four panelists in the plenary program: "New Paradigms of Leadership For a Better World."

October 23, 2009, San Rafael, California. A presentation on "The Living Universe" at the Science of Nonduality Conference.

November 20, 2009, San Rafael. An evening presentation on the theme of "The Living Universe" at the  Kalliopeia Foundation.
